Donating to No Shave November is a noble act that goes beyond just letting your facial hair grow. This annual campaign raises awareness and funds for crucial men’s health issues, particularly prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and mental health. By contributing to this cause, you’re supporting organizations that provide essential research, education, and support to those affected. Your donation can help save lives, and it’s a simple yet impactful way to be part of a movement that encourages men to prioritize their health. So, when you donate to No Shave November, you’re not only showing solidarity with those who grow their facial hair but also with individuals battling these health challenges. Again, the South Bound Brook PBA appreciates your support.

The South Bound Brook PBA Local 148 has started a fundraiser for a scholarship
program that hits close to home for one of our members. In life, the goal isn’t to live forever, its
to create something that will. Brother, Zack Schulte recently lost his father, Jeff Schulte. Even though Jeff has passed away, his legacy will live on. When speaking of someone’s legacy, we often take the time to look back at their accomplishments. For Jeff Schulte, the impact he made on the football field speaks for itself.

Jeff attended Keansburg High School from 1970-1974. During those four years, his
performance on the football field was something that the state of New Jersey had never seen
before. So much so that the Asbury Park Press drew a caricature and front-page news article
about him for athlete of the week. His accolades from high school included 3,392 yards rushing, 1050 yards receiving, 46 touchdowns, 1st team all shore, county, and state, H.S All American, 1973 Player of the year, First 1,000 yard rusher at Keansburg High School, and Later in 1993, he would be the first athlete inducted in the school’s hall of fame.

After graduating high school, Jeff attended Wyoming University, where he made a name
for himself on the football team from 1974-1976. Then he decided to take his talents to
Benedictine College from 1976-1979. In 1976 the Benedictine Ravens won the Boot Hill Bowl In 1976, and were inducted in the school’s hall of fame in 2016. Jeff graduated from Benedictine College with a degree in Physical Education and Health

Zack wanted to help create something that would not only honor his father, but would also
make a positive impact in the community that Jeff once played football for. Something that
would give a standout high school athlete the opportunity that he or she may not otherwise have.

Therefore, the Jeff Schulte Memorial Scholarship was created. A scholarship that would be presented to an athlete every year, helping them with the beginning of their college careers. To kickstart the beginning of this amazing scholarship, the South Bound Brook PBA Local 148 will be sponsoring the scholarship and selling custom shirts. The shirts will be sold for $25. All profits will go towards the scholarship. Please contact [email protected] to purchase a T-shirt or to donate further.

Shirt colors: Navy Blue and Black
Shirt sizes: Medium, Large, XL, XXL

Let not only the memory of Jeff Schulte live on, but let’s give someone the opportunity to build their own legacy.

Thank you,

South Bound Brook PBA Local 148

A special shout-out to the Porch Family. They came by police headquarters earlier to make sure our Officers were well fed. We appreciate your generosity.

Thank you to our Officers, other officers and first responders who are away from their families during the holidays and keeping everyone safe.

CAPTURED

After only a few nights, the Grinch has once again been captured by the South Bound Brook Police Department.

The Grinch has been charged with Grand Larceny, Trespassing, and Not Being Jolly. The people of South Bound Brook deserve justice. Being that we are dealing with no ordinary criminal, The Grinch will receive no ordinary punishment. What’s his punishment, you ask? The Grinch will be sentenced to a special type of community service. He will be escorted by the South Bound Brook Police Department to spread holiday cheer.

On Saturday, December 18th, residents will be able to see The Grinch riding down their streets! SBBPD will be handing out candy canes along the way for all the little ones who come out to see The Grinch in his festive cell!

We will keep everyone posted on times. As always, stay safe and happy holidays!

Good evening, everyone. Just a reminder, as always SBBPD’s No Shave donations are extended through December. The purpose of not shaving is to raise awareness for colon/testicular cancer. SBBPD has done this since 2016, reaching our goal every year and we plan to do the same this year.

We appreciate every donation. Happy Holidays and stay safe. Goodnight.
