The South Bound Brook Police Department is proud to congratulate Lieutenant Brandon Savitt on his successful graduation from the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police (NJSACOP) Command and Leadership Academy.

This prestigious 13 week program is designed to develop senior law enforcement leaders by enhancing skills in strategic thinking, ethical leadership, organizational management, and effective decision-making. Graduates leave better equipped to lead their agencies, mentor personnel, and serve their communities at the highest level.

Advisory: Temporary Parking Prohibition for Snow Plowing and Removal on All Municipal Roadways

SOUTH BOUND BROOK

Reminder of parking prohibition during snow accumulation. Vehicles parked on snow covered roadways will be subject to summons and/or tow.

§ 7-7.3 Temporary Parking Prohibition for Snow Plowing and Removal on All Municipal Roadways. [Ord. No. 3-96]

A. Whenever snow has fallen and the accumulation is such that it covers the streets or highways, an emergency shall exist and no vehicle shall be parked on all municipal roadways or portions thereof indicated.

The above parking prohibitions shall remain in effect after the snow has ceased until the streets have been plowed sufficiently and to the extent that parking will not interfere with the normal flow of traffic.

B. Any unoccupied vehicle parking or standing in violation shall be deemed a nuisance and a menace to the safe and proper regulation of traffic and any Police Officer may provide for the removal of such vehicle. The owner shall pay the reasonable costs of the removal and storage which may result from such removal before regaining possession of the vehicle.
