In alignment with Department of Defense (DoD) Instruction 5400.17 and recent Executive Orders issued by the President, the United States Marine Corps is reviewing and adjusting its social media content to ensure compliance with DoD policies and priorities. Today we say goodbye to one of the greats. Sgt Shown and I began our tour together and fought through everything this world could throw at us. Your a great Marine, NCO, Recruiter, and an even greater friend. Thank you for your hard work and dedication to the team.

Let's start Friday off with a fact you may not know!
Did you know that according to Marine sniper superstition, there is ultimately one round destined to end the life of a Marine, and that is “the round with your name on it.” Until that round is fired, the person for whom it is intended remains invincible. If the sniper carries the round with him at all times, it can never be fired and the sniper is therefore untouchable.
