One final takeoff✈️

This Takeoff Tuesday, we’re proud to celebrate Lt. Col. Michael Sturgis as he completed his final flight in the F-35A Lightning II.

In keeping with tradition, his final flight was marked with a flyby over the base before family, friends, and fellow Airmen welcomed him as he exits the aircraft.

Part of having a beautiful base is keeping it that way⛰️☀️🌷

Airmen across the wing took part in our annual Green Up Day, which consisted of cleaning up around the buildings, mulching, and planting flowers.

This activity is a great way to boost morale, take care of our space, and even enjoy the warmer weather!

🇺🇸 This Memorial Day, let us remember those who gave the ultimate sacrifice in defense of the United States and her allies. Over the weekend, Vermont Air National Guard Airmen and their families honored the memories of those we’ve lost, while also recognizing those continuing to serve on the front lines.

Thank you to all who helped us honor the fallen this weekend, including Maj Gen Henry Harder Jr. at Camp Johnson, Col Michael Blair in South Burlington, and Brooke Adams in Milton, who stepped forward to deliver the remarks usually given each year by her father, SMSgt Darren Adams, who is currently deployed to CENTCOM. 🙏

The 158FW has amazing professionals here to support our Airmen and Families, but let's be honest... Beau the therapy dog is still the star of the show! 🌟🐾

As we continue through Mental Health Awareness Month, this VTANG team wants to remind everyone an important message:

It's OKAY to not be OKAY. If you are going through a tough time, please reach out and talk to someone. Stop by, say hello to the team, and give Beau a well-deserved high-five😊!
