💙 Staff Spotlight: Meet Wendy!

Wendy Rowe brings years of housing and advocacy experience to her role as a Case Manager with HomeShare Vermont.

Before joining HomeShare Vermont in 2023, Wendy worked as a Housing Advocate with the Housing Advocacy Program at CVOEO, helping Vermonters navigate housing challenges and access critical resources. She also served in the Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program at Vermont Legal Aid, where she advocated for residents living in nursing homes and residential care communities.

Today, Wendy uses her extensive background in housing and community support to help homeowners and home seekers find successful homeshare matches that promote stability, independence and connection.

Wendy's knowledge, compassion, and commitment to helping people find safe, sustainable housing solutions make her an invaluable part of the HomeShare Vermont team and the communities she serves.

Statewide matching program connects Vermonters with extra rooms to those seeking below-market rent

Why do people choose to homeshare? For some, it's about making it possible to stay in the home they love. For others, it's about finding affordable housing while building community.

In FY25, HomeShare Vermont helped match 300 Vermonters through homesharing. Those matches resulted in:

💛 More than $395,000 in rental income for hosts
💙 Approximately 38,000 hours of assistance provided by guests
💛 An estimated $880,000 in housing savings for guests

Every match is unique, but they all share a common goal: Vermonters supporting one another while making housing more affordable and sustainable.

If you’ve ever called our office, chances are you’ve spoken with Aisha Mueller, our intake coordinator and one of the first friendly voices you’ll hear!

Aisha helps guide new applicants through the homesharing process, answering questions and making sure each person feels informed and supported from the very beginning. ☺️

Originally from Singapore, Aisha moved to Vermont in 2007 and later earned her degree from Johnson State College. After working with Easterseals Vermont and spending time at home with her two sons, she brought her experience and compassion to HomeShare.

Aisha finds real joy in connecting individuals with housing opportunities and supporting older Vermonters in staying safely in their homes. She’s passionate about social issues and values the stories behind every person she works with. 🫶
