Pollen8 is a nonprofit organization committed to helping women recover from Substance Use Disorder. We believe in a world where women are no longer bound by addiction. Through our ReIntegr8 program, we facilitate treatment for the underlying causes of addiction (Appalachian Behavioral HealthCare), provide job training and employability skills at our social enterprises (Cultiv8, Cafe’ Appalachia, C
afe’ Appalachia Catering, and Cafe’ Appalachia Express) where women learn skills in agriculture, food handling, food preparation, barista, and special event planning. We also offer a curriculum of Basic Life Skills (Adult Roles/Responsibilities, ACEs Reduction, Health/Wellness/Nutrition, Finance, and Effective Communication) so that participants learn how to live meaningful and productive lives within their communities. Each woman who graduates our 26 week program is either placed in full-time employment within our organization at one of our social enterprises (when available) or placed with one of our Community Hiring Partners. They are also helped in securing safe and sober housing. Our goal is to reintegrate healthy women and therefore families back into West Virginia society.
