Dear Ruthlawn Families,
We are excited for tomorrow’s Positive Behavior Incentive Field Trip to Captain Holstein’s Indoor Playground!
Since the beginning of April, our Mustangs have been working hard to demonstrate positive behavior and earn this special opportunity. We are proud that so many of our students met the expectations and earned this celebration.
As with any incentive opportunity, there are some students who did not meet the criteria this time. Those students will remain at school, where they will spend the day with some staff members in a supportive and engaging environment. We look forward to helping them continue working toward future opportunities and successes.
A few logistical notes for tomorrow:
• Captain Holstein’s is opening early exclusively for our school group.
• Because the facility will not be open to the public until 11:00 a.m., parents and visitors will unfortunately not be permitted to attend, except in a few pre-arranged circumstances.
• Our visit is from 9:30 a.m.–11:30 a.m. so students can enjoy the experience and return to school in time for lunch and afternoon instruction.
• Please send a water bottle labeled with your child’s name so students can stay hydrated during play. We will bring our large water jug filled with water for refills.
Please note that cash is not required for this trip. Captain Holstein’s has an arcade area available (which would require loading funds onto a play card) and concessions may also be open. Participation in either is completely optional and will not be encouraged. Students will have plenty of opportunities to enjoy a fun and memorable experience without spending money.
Thank you for supporting our school’s efforts to celebrate positive choices and encourage a positive school culture. We are looking forward to a great day with our Mustangs!
