Election Day is finally over. While we may not have a final result in my race yet it is time to start picking up our signs. Angela and I will be out and about tomorrow doing that. We didn’t want anyone to be surprised if their sign disappears. Thank you again for all of your support, we really appreciate it.

Regardless of who you vote for it is crucial that you make your voice heard. It is the cornerstone of our great system but it only works if we all participate!

It was a busy yet amazing Labor Day weekend. We took part in many wonderful events and saw so many friendly and supportive people. The rodeo, Ellensburg parade, and fair were a ton of fun. The Roslyn parade, King Coal and Bull of the Woods coronations, and High Country Log Show were a true representation of our Upper County roots and traditions. I am proud to have been at each of these events and even prouder of our heritage that was on full display. Thank you all for your continuing support!

My family has called the Upper Kittitas County home since my great grandparents arrived here. I grew up on a farm just west of Cle Elum. After graduating from Cle Elum-Roslyn High School I attended the University of Washington earning my Bachelor of Arts degree in history. I then moved to Lansing, Michigan where I attended Thomas M. Cooley Law School. I graduated with my law degree in 2000.

While studying for the bar exam I volunteered as an intern at the Kittitas County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. While there I handled cases in both Upper and Lower District Courts. After being admitted to the Washington State Bar, I practiced law as a Deputy Prosecutor in Klickitat, Grays Harbor, and Thurston Counties. In Klicikitat County I also served as the Chief Criminal Deputy and legal council for the civil service commission as well as the Team Lead in both Domestic Violence and Special Victim units in Thurston County.

In 2013 I was lucky enough to meet my future wife Angela, who was also born and raised in the Upper County. Not long after getting married in 2015 we decided to was time to come home. In 2018 I accepted a position with the Kittitas County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office handling felony criminal cases.

In 2021 we had our greatest blessing arrive with the birth of our son Billy. The decision to come back to the Upper County was an easy one. This is where our hearts have always been.

I truly believe in our judicial system and feel that all cases should be heard fairly and impartially. Each case should be judged on their individual facts and circumstances.

I have spent my career in public service and there is no place I want to serve more than Upper Kittitas County. It would be my honor to be your next District Court judge and my privilege to give back to the community that has given so much to me and my family.
