Frontier Regional School Regional High School in Western Massachusetts The district serves the four towns of Deerfield, Sunderland, Whately and Conway.

Frontier Regional School (FRS) is a regional combined public high school and middle school in South Deerfield, Massachusetts, serving students in grades 7 - 12, as part of the Union 38 School District. Academics
Frontier Regional runs on a semester system. Students can take 4-5 courses per semester; either 4 semester courses that meet everyday, or 3 semester courses that meet everyday and 2 quarter courses that meet every-other day. Quarter courses are usually non-academics ones, such as gym class or wood shop.

Another UMass Band Day is in the books! Our Frontier students represented us well, as they always do. It’s truly a wonderful sight to see— performers from all around coming together with a common goal, all the while making lasting memories and celebrating each other! FRS Marching Band members often describe this time-honored tradition as “the best day of my life!”. It is due, in large part, to the generosity of our community members and local businesses that we’re able to provide impactful experiences like this year-after-year. 🎉 IT’S SPIRIT WEEK, FRONTIER! 🎉

Get ready to show your school spirit all week long! 👀 From Meme Day to Twin Day, Color Day, Bleacher Wars, and the Pep Rally — we’ve got a full week of fun planned! 🔥

🎃 Don’t forget: Spirit Week ends with the HS Homecoming Dance — Sunday, Oct. 11, 7–9 PM in the FRS Cafeteria. Tickets are $12 and will be sold during lunch Oct. 5–9. No tickets at the door!

We are mixing things up a bit this year with our Open Mic shows. We will still have special evening performances featuring solos and small groups, but we will also have more frequent (and more casual) Open Mics that will take place right after school about once a month. Students who show a confident ability to perform at Open Mics may be selected to perform at evening concerts, the first of which is the Music Telethon on Wednesday, October 28 from 6:00-9:00PM.

Students who want to practice music are always welcome to check out Music Club on Thursdays from 2:15-3:15PM in the Band Room. We have a wide array of instruments to borrow and many practice spaces to use for soloists or small ensembles. I am also available for coaching during Music Club.
