💙 Families, we’d love for you to consider joining the DES PTA!

The PTA plays a big role in supporting our elementary school, and we can’t do it without you. Together, we help fund school supplies, field trips, classroom needs, and special events that make Deerfield Elementary a vibrant, joyful place for kids to learn and grow.

Our PTA is gearing up for September’s Fall Fest, and we’d love your help to make it an amazing day for our students and families. We’re looking for volunteers to assist with event planning, setup, running activities, and cleanup. Whether you can give an hour or the whole afternoon, every bit makes a difference.

Your Voice, Your School, Your PTA: Get Involved This Year (PLEASE NOTE LOCATION CHANGE)

We invite you to join us for our next meeting on June 8 at 5 pm at Hillside Pizza/Powder Hollow at Yankee Candle (Treehouse has concert on Monday), to learn more about the DES PTA and participating in our important yearly elections. Whether you're a seasoned member or brand new to our community, this is a fantastic opportunity to get involved.

As many of you know, the PTA plays a vital role in supporting our school. We provide school supplies to staff at the start of the year, fund field trips, and contribute to mini grants that make meaningful experiences possible for our students, such as musical instruments and other enrichment opportunities. None of this happens without parent volunteers.

This year and next, a couple of our long time volunteers are stepping down as their children graduate from 6th grade. Their departure leaves significant gaps in our leadership team. To remain a strong, viable PTA that can continue offering all of these programs, we urgently need new parents to step forward. Your time, energy, and ideas truly make the difference between what the PTA can do and what the PTA is able to do.

We have several open positions, each a one year commitment. If you're interested in taking a more active role, we encourage you to consider running for a position. Simply reach out to us at [email protected] to express your interest.
