Join us for the burial of the 350th Time Capsule on the grounds of the former South Deerfield Congregational Church on North Main St. Saturday, June 8 at 11:30 am. What's in the capsule? All sorts of memorabilia from last year's celebration, including news reports, letters that children wrote to themselves to open in 50 years, a signed softball from the Deerfield-Northfield Softball game, buttons, signs, the bells created for Founders Day last year, and more will be buried in a metal box created by local students and protected by a container made and donated by Pelican Products. See the photos for more info. Come and see the capsule lowered and the dedication of the memorial bench. See the photos for more information and to learn how to RSVP for lunch following the event.

The 350th Anniversary Celebrations will culminate in the burial of the time capsule on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at 11:30 am in front of the 1821 building that used to be the Congregational Church of South Deerfield. What's going into the capsule? Mementos of the 30th - like pho9tos and documents, as well as the signed softball from the Deerfield/Northfield softball game, letters that school children wrote to themselves to open in 50 years, and other memorabilia. Come gather and put a topper on the 350th.

Saturday, December 30, 2023, 1:30, Town offices on Conway Street. End the year with your neighbors, as the Deerfield History Mural is unveiled. Hear the local artist, Judith Inglese, describe her process and explain the significance of the different parts of her hand made, ceramic mural. Followed by a free ice cream social.
