The beginning of a great day! Couldn't have asked for a better day and what a HUGE success! So many happy faces! A HUGE thank you to Santa Claus, John Kelley, Jim Gilrein and all of the Masons, DUNES 102.3, the Yarmouth Fire Department and volunteers that showed up to make it the success it is. We would love to have the families share pictures of your decorated trees with us. Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and happy and healthy New Year!!

At last years Christmas Dream event approximately 600 hot dogs along with coffee, donuts and so much more were donated to give out to the families for free...what a great time.

Each year the CHRISTMAS DREAM does its part to help keep children safe with the myCHIP program sponsored through the Grand Lodge of Masons in Massachusetts. You can read more about the program at www.mychip.org.

Every year the CHRISTMAS DREAM FOUNDATION supports our troops. Soldiers from Otis Air Force Base come down to get trees that are given out to the military families living on and around the base waiting for the safe return of their loved ones on active duty.

THE CHRISTMAS DREAM is a new and fast growing non-profit fundraiser that helps families in need by gifting Christmas trees to those that cannot afford to purchase one during the holiday season. 100% of the funds raised go to the purchase of trees that are gifted to local families.

Each year we pick a new charity and help bring awareness to its mission.

AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION (2015)

Most families on the Cape struggle each year just to keep food on the table and pay basic household bills. The holiday season is a time of giving and helping those around us and not looking for any return for our deeds of kindness. Each year this event changes many lives and makes a difference in the future for all of us by showing those in need we care.

The first year of the Christmas Dream a young man showed up to the event early asking how he could get a tree for his family. He was told to come back at noon and as he walked by me, with a tear in his eye, and asked if he could just take one of the trees ad work it off by doing a job for someone. I knew he was a proud young man who had humbled himself for his family. I asked him if he could help us set up the event as there was lots of work to be done and I would make sure he got a Christmas tree for his family. The young man got right to work and before long his whole family was there helping and enjoying the day's events.

Each year this event grows and more stories of proud people having a hard time are seen and how such a modest gift of a Christmas tree changes their life.

Please pledge a tree for a family in need or make a donation and keep good will alive as there is no greater joy than giving to a family down on their luck.
