Vogelei Park recently underwent a huge renovation! This new and improved inclusive playground features structures for different age groups and inclusive equipment for all abilities. The new splashpad should turn on soon with ground level and above ground sprays! Perfect summer hangout location ☀️

An outing to the Exploritoirum is always a great one and we loved our recent visit post renovations!! This park district facility caters to children of all ages and just underwent a huge renovation featuring a vet, Grocery store, and construction play zone along with a new 3 story climbing zone/slides!

The structure has multiple levels, gliders, tunnels, mats, ninja features and more!

There is also a smaller wooden playground structure for the toddlers! This features a small climber, slide, and bridge.

The rest of the play space allows for open ended play with a craft station, train table, water tables, magnetic toys, light wall and more!

Be sure to pack a lunch and spend the day! There are tables for eating located in the space.

Early last summer the Rolling Meadows community center playground underwear a huge renovation! We revisited the playground to experience the final touches with the tennis court and ninja course
This playground works great for a wide range- the playground portion is 🔐FULLY FENCED IN with a ninja course on the back side behind the fence 🤸‍♂️
There are a number of slides, spinners, and swings. The monkey bars are low enough for your kindergarten and under kiddos to tackle them independently without being too high off the ground. The inside area of the climber is full of fun steps and tunnels to navigate between areas.
Directly behind this playground is the sledding hill which makes for a fun add on walking over to it to run up and down the hill!
There is a parking lot for easy parking directly next to the playground

Today was the ✨GRAND OPENING ✨ for Gail Borden Public Library newest kids space glow up!
The completely renovated kids space was the finishing touches to last years renovations. They removed the large climber to make room for individual creative play spaces. The zone features a work shop, kitchen/house, vet, and grocery store in a nature feel space. The light wall and bubble wall offer interactive fun 💧
I love that they kept the separate baby zone. This zone is a padded confined space for your little tikes ane crawlers to play safely.

The latest updates include
A Larger creation station with updated technology- sound showers, and a large tv display.
All new furniture in the space
An interactive boat and a chance to help name the ship!
A nature theme that matches the esthetic from the first round of renovations last year 🌳
A rocketship and space themed area🚀

It is difficult to find a play place that can meet the needs of families who have a children covering a large age range. This indoor play cafe does just that! It includes separate play spaces for different ages and a full cafe. The play spaces were clean and well maintained.

✨"Big Bee" area for older kids features large slides and multiple climbing structures in addition to a large jumping pillow

✨ "Little Bee" area for toddlers features age-appropriate enclosed equipment with climbers and slides. An imaginative play area with different 'buildings' including a grocery store and restaurant 👶 there's an Enclosed baby area for the tiny crawlers in the little bee area too

✨A climbing wall separates the two rooms

Note that when you are in the big bee area you do not have a direct line of sight to the little bee area

There is a fully stocked cafe to purchase food and beverages at. The prices were all very reasonable!

✨NEW✨ playground!
The grove playground is officially open! It is a cute nature theme with one large structure, swings, spinners and a climber. There are a variety of slides, bridges, and climbing challenges!
I can imagine it may get pretty buggy in the evenings due to the amount of trees surrounding the playground. Plenty of shade and nature play!!
There are picnic tables and a porta potty currently there but it is hard to say what the permanent setup will be!

Independence grove is the perfect combo of an amazing playground and brew garden

This playground has three play areas all on a rubber woodchip floor. There is a Tot area structure with tot climbing wall, larger playground structure on the upper level overlooking the lake and the 'in ground' area. The in ground area is fully accessible from the lower level but only way to access the tube slide is by climbing the rock wall out of this area though. The tot area rock wall is more stepping stones vs the rock wall to get to the tube slide is a straight up wall with ledges

The 'cave' which connected the tot side to the tube slide area is always a hit. Their current favorite book is going on a bear hunt so their imagination was flying. If you walk to the upper level of the playground you can peer down a 'tree stump' to see inside the cave on the lower level

This playground area is very large and you aren't able to see all the 'zones' at once. There is plenty of shade and picnic tables throughout the playground area though!

*Park in the visitor center parking lot. Walk to the left of the building and head down the ramp. You'll see the beer garden straight ahead on the lake. If you veer to the right you will find the playground entrance

I have read before that there is a parking fee on concert days but I can't confirm.

🚨🎉New Playground Alert! The updated Towne Park did not disappoint! It is officially open this summer and a huge upgrade from the previous playground at this location. This turf playground features two separate play area with a variety of slides and spinners!

The electronic game station was a feature I had not seen before! You spin a wheel to "power the game" then run to hit the lights as they light up

The parking is a slight walk over a bridge to access the playground and park property. There is plenty of shade under the gazebos, picnic tables, and bathrooms

Beach ✔️ carousel ✔️ splashpad ✔️ playground ✔️ what more could you ask for?! Less than 2 hours from most Chicago suburbs is the most family friendly little beach town ⛱️
Silver Beach underwent a huge playground Reno this past year and it did not disappoint!
Silver beach Carousel $4 per person, adults free if riding with a child under 42 inches
The splash pad here is not for the faint of heart. I would definitely describe it as fire hoses shooting from above 🤣 it is huge and loads of fun for kids though! The water switches off between the upper hoses and the in ground fountains every few minutes 💦
Beach access is free here and the playground was remodeled for this season! So many fun levels, slides, and swings, and a glider all on a turf ground on the sand 🪣🛝 The views at sunset are breathtaking 🌅
