Our Principal just sent out an important email regarding a Willard family who experienced a tragic house fire over the weekend.

We are sharing the message here in hopes of helping spread the word and support the family during this incredibly difficult time. ❤️

Please see the message below:

Good morning Willard Families,

I am writing to ask for your support for one of our Willard families. Over the weekend, the Rice family experienced a house fire that has left their home unlivable for the foreseeable future. While many details are still being worked out, we know our Willard community always comes together to support families in times of need.

At this time, the family is in need of clothing and basic necessities for their children:

Brayden – size 6/7 clothing, shoe size 13.5
Rosalie – size 10/12 clothing, shoe size 4
Olivia – women’s XS or size 0 clothing, shoe size 7.5
The family will try to salvage what they can, but unfortunately, most items in the home were a total loss.

If you are able to help, please drop off donations at Door 1 at Willard Elementary School this week. We will make daily deliveries to the family.

Thank you for supporting a Willard family in need and for always showing what makes our community so special.

The Willard PTO has a few special things planned to show our appreciation for the incredible Willard Staff and all they do for our students each and every day! ✨

We know how meaningful it can be to show gratitude, so we wanted to share a few fun and simple ways students and families can help celebrate their teachers throughout the week. Participation is completely optional, but we hope this gives anyone interested a few easy ideas! 🌸✏️☕💌

Also, a friendly reminder that the Brookfield Zoo field trip is Wednesday, and Family Picnic Night is Thursday! 🎉
