Yesterday, PBA Local 134 had two teams enter the Special Olympics of NJ Snow Bowl tournament. We would like to thank all of our Brothers and Sisters who came out to play in the game and support our teams. Both teams had fun, fought hard and represented us well. One of our teams made it to the Championship game and was able to win the game and bring home the trophy. Congratulations!! Thanks for representing PBA Local 134….

This joint venture with Bergen County Sheriff Anthony Cureton has always been a great event. We make sure that families are able to enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday. Thank you to th Center for Food Action in Saddle Brook for helping us as well.

For the past 15+ years or so, Aret Yesiltepe has organized this event, from getting donations, to making sure all the turkeys get to their proper locations. We can’t thank him enough for including us in this event year in and year out. You do a great job and this would not happen without you!!

Lastly, a special thanks to our PBA Local 134 Executive Board Membes who came out to help move over 2000 turkeys today. What a tremendous job, well done!!

PBA Local 134 would like wish all of our members, their family, friends and all of our supporters a very Happy Thanksgiving. ltnt

Please see the information below regarding our Beefsteak that is coming up. Tickets are limited and going fast, if you’re interested please reach out to an executive board member. All the information is the below and the flyer that is attached.

BEEFSTEAK INFORMATION:

PBA Local 134 will be hosting a beefsteak and comedy night on March 15th. The event will be to honor the 10 year anniversary of the End of Watch for Lt. Brian Beutel. Proceeds of the event will go towards the Tomorrow’s Children Fund and other charities. A flyer to the event is posted below.

Lt. Beutel was a 15 year veteran of BCSO and worked in the jail, he was the tour commander of Sqaud D at the time of his passing. Two of Brian’s passions were raising money for the Tomorrow’s Children Fund and playing in the Battle of the Blue Basketball tournament. Brian was always the lead person for PBA 134’s team in the Battle of the Blue.

On March 18th, 2015, Brian once again ran the team for this event. On this night Brian was on the court playing the game he loved and ended up passing out and needed medical attention. He was rushed to the hospital and later that night, all of us waiting at the hospital, we were told he had passed away.

Brian was a devoted family man and left behind a wife and 5 children, as well as many other family members, friends and coworkers.

Tickets for the event will be available starting tomorrow January 17, 2025. We will be selling tickets for $85 each and tables will have 10 people to a table. There will be a tricky tray and 50/50 to help raise money for the charity. Please see any executive board member to purchase tickets or you can email [email protected] to secure your tickets.

Thank you,
Jordan Kalender

Today we lay to rest one of our own, Brother Michael Ramos. Brother Ramos was a Sergeant within the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office. He was a friend to many and a well respected leader. We hope you have found peace brother. Please say a final prayer for his family and friends. Rest in Peace Brother Ramos, until we all meet again.

While there are too many to name, we’d like to thank every agency that assisted with sending our brother off in a style that only our brotherhood understands.
