🗣️ $1.9 million in new business and tourism funding is being offered by Mecklenburg County to assist existing businesses with their growth — and we want to help you find the opportunity that’s right for you!
Join us for a FREE Grant-Finder Lunch & Learn Session, where we’ll review six new funding opportunities, explain the basic qualifications, and help you understand matching funds, reimbursement requirements, application timelines, and what you’ll need to apply.
Here’s a quick look at the programs:
** These grants are only open to existing Mecklenburg County businesses that have been open at least one year as of Sept 1.
**Business Growth Grant
Best for established, locally owned businesses ready to make a one-time investment that will increase production, sales, capacity, or services.
**Home-Based Business Transition Grant
Best for existing home-based businesses ready to move into a commercially zoned location in Mecklenburg County.
**E-Commerce Grant
Best for existing local businesses—including eligible home-based businesses—that want to begin or significantly improve their ability to sell products or services online.
**Commercial Property Demolition Grant
Best for qualifying blighted or underused commercial properties where demolition could prepare the site for redevelopment.
Tourism Development Fund
Best for new or expanding destination-oriented tourism businesses planning a significant capital investment in Mecklenburg County.
Tourism Marketing Support Grants
Best for tourism businesses, attractions, Chambers, Main Street organizations, and destination marketing organizations seeking professional marketing support to attract more visitors.
