Mattie Talley Foundation

The mission of the Mattie Talley Foundation is to enhance the quality of life for children with cancer by providing prostheses for cancer patients younger than 18 years of age - regardless of race, religion, or economic background.

The Mattie Talley Foundation (MTF) was founded in April 1998 with one family's dream of improving the lives of children with cancer and calling attention to the overwhelming financial challenges associated with the disease. MTF accomplishes this by collecting donations from caring private citizens and distributing them to hospitals throughout Illinois. The medical facilities then purchase and fit the prosthetic devices for children in need.

General information

We work very closely with the medical community in Illinois to offer assistance to these children and their families. Patients that are eligible for funds are often receiving treatment in Chicago area hospitals, such as The Craniofacial Center at the University of Illinois Medical Center at Chicago and the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago.
