The Forest Service has evolved into a 30,000 employee agency that manages the national forests for a number of multiple uses, including recreation, timber, wilderness, minerals, water, grazing, fish, and wildlife. Come and explore, discover, or rediscover the vast opportunities the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest has to offer. Visitors can find extensive trail systems for hiking, mountain biking, equestrian, and motorized vehicle use. Campgrounds, picnic and day-use areas, and historical and interpretive sites provide day-long or weekend vacation destinations. Scenic drives and breathtaking wilderness areas await discovery. Anglers and wildlife watchers can enjoy an abundance of streams, lakes, and diverse habitats supporting a variety of species. The Forest’s 2.1 million acres has something for everyone!

"Wheels Yield to Heels, and all Yield to Horses" is a basic principle on a shared trail.

Heber-Kamas Ranger District, , located near Center Creek northeast of Highway 40, estimated less than 1 acre, burning in timber stands, and steep, difficult terrain. Local resources are currently accessing and addressing the fire. Cause is unknown at this time.

Logan Canyon is now open. Expect delays by Blind Hollow/Temple Fork as firefighters continue to build containment and mop up the . The road is down to one lane through that area.
The fire has burned six acres and is 80% contained. The heavy rain last night gave firefighters a welcome assist.
