For those in Christmas Valley and South Upper Truckee, you may have noticed a difference in water pressure this afternoon. A power flicker at 4:30pm impacted our water pump servicing your area. Crews were delayed in responding due to traffic. Water pressure was restored by 6:30pm. We apologize for the inconvenience. It was an honor to tour the Tahoe Chamber Leadership class around the plant this week. Thanks for your dedication to our community.

♻ For Environment Day, the Leadership Lake Tahoe Class of 2020 heard from Tahoe's main environmental organizations on what their role is in the community and how they work together to maintain and enhance our unique environment.

The class was also invited to tour the SouthTahoePUD and South Tahoe Refuse & Recycling facilities to get a better understanding of how these operations work and how these organizations are preparing for the future.

The fifth grade students at Sierra House Elementary School/ Sierra House spent the day at Heavenly Mountain yesterday learning about animal adaptations from Tahoe Institute for Natural Science and the U.S. Forest Service - Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit, snow science from Vail Resorts, and avalanche safety from Sierra Avalanche Center and Heavenly Ski Patrol.

Thank you to the Vail Epic Promise Grant for funding this awesome program and the South Tahoe Environmental Education Coalition (STEEC) and Tahoe Regional Planning Agency for helping us bring this program to life!
