DOG DAYS OF SUMMER IS ALMOST HERE!
August is just around the corner, and what better way to celebrate the "Dog Days of Summer" than with a Pet Adoption event? Plan to come out to South Lake Brewing Company on Sunday, August 16th and stop by sometime between 12-5pm to join in on the fun. Agencies such as the Humane Society and Pet Network will be there with some animals up for adoption, but if you're not interested in bringing home a new furry family member, come out in support! Dogs are welcome at South Lake Brewing and there will be a Puppy Parade, Obstacle Course and Pet Photo Booth - including a contest for Best Pet/Owner Look-Alike costume!

Housing supply isn’t just about quantity—it’s about the right mix. 3-bedroom homes remain the most common, while 4-bedroom homes have grown from under 20% of 1950s housing stock. As households evolve, home design matters too.

In we're having conversations with government officials working within agencies to find housing solutions for the local workforce, and STAR is advocating for the "missing middle" since the City was successful with their partnership with St Joseph's Community Land Trust to get low income deed restricted rental apartments developed. South Tahoe still has a need for 2-bedroom "starter" homes, condos and townhomes affordable to local residents for both rent AND for purchase.
