I have worked in the financial industry for over 14 years and have grown and developed as leader and advocate for my clients. I am knowledgeable in banking protocol, banking regulations, deposit and loan products, as well as being knowledgeable of policies regarding customer service and management. Everyone is ok, we walked away with just me getting a broken clavicle. Yesterday, my son and I had finished up a trip to the Kroger on Ten Mile across from South Lyon East HS. While waiting at the stoplight on Tamarack Dr / John’s Rd to turn left, a vehicle ran the red light and slammed into us while traveling eastbound on Ten Mile. The driver admitted to the Oakland County Sheriff Deputy they were using their cellphone and were cited. Thanks to everyone who has reached out and special shoutout to Mike Squires- South Lyon City Council for picking up Ryker and I while my wife was out of town. The important thing is everyone walked away.

I have seen a number of folks post that parking is limited for the South Lyon Farmers Market due to the Pontiac Trail Project. So, in the interest of accuracy I would like to provide the following information: There is more than enough parking in the downtown area for customers to use that is not impacted by the construction. As the attached chart shows there are 378 spots currently available. As construction moves north on Pontiac Trail that number will decrease by 59 spots as Lafayette on-street parking will be eliminated, still leaving 319 spots available.

Today, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women of our military who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Their courage, dedication, and selflessness secured the freedoms we enjoy each day. Memorial Day is not only a time for reflection, but a solemn reminder that freedom is never free. We are forever grateful to those who gave their lives and to the families who carry their legacy forward.

This past Saturday I attended the ribbon cutting celebration for South Lyon’s newest restaurant, Neetu’s kitchen . This new restaurant (located at 294 N Lafayette St, South Lyon, MI 48178) offers a wide selection of Indian dishes available for catering or carryout.
