As Memorial Day Weekend approaches, the Cameron County Park Ranger Division would like to welcome all visitors, families, and beachgoers to our beautiful beaches and parks.

While many gather to enjoy time with family and friends, we also pause to honor and remember the brave men and women of our Armed Forces who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Their courage and dedication will never be forgotten.

We encourage everyone to celebrate safely and responsibly:
• Stay hydrated
• Keep our beaches clean
• Obey posted signs and county ordinances
• Watch children closely near the water
• Do not drink and drive
• Be courteous to others enjoying the beach

The Cameron County Park Ranger Division will have additional officers patrolling our parks and beaches throughout the holiday weekend.

The Cameron County Park Ranger Division would like to extend our sincere appreciation to Sheriff Manuel Treviño and the Cameron County Sheriff's Office for hosting the First Annual Police Memorial Ceremony in honor of National Police Week.

During National Police Week, we recognize and honor the brave men and women in law enforcement who make countless sacrifices and put their lives on the line each day to protect and serve our communities. Their dedication, courage, and commitment will never go unnoticed.

Sheriff Manuel Treviño and the Cameron County Sheriff’s Office invite the community to attend our first Police Memorial Event on May 14th at 9:30 a.m.

This memorial ceremony, held in conjunction with National Peace Officers Memorial Day, is dedicated to honoring the fallen officers of Cameron County, Hidalgo County, and various federal agencies throughout South Texas.

We come together to remember their service, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to protecting our communities. Their legacy will never be forgotten.
