A Gale Watch is in effect from Tuesday evening through Wednesday evening. The season's first legitimate cold front sweeps the lower Texas waters overnight Tuesday, with increasing confidence in a period of gale-force winds/gusts focusing on midnight through late evening Wednesday, longest over the Gulf. Small craft operators should plan on being in port by sunset Tuesday and remain through sunrise Thursday.
