We are participants in the 45 member Allegheny County Library Association (ACLA). At South Park Township Library, we have an emphasis on providing patrons with a variety of library programs and access to the newest circulating materials that are available including books, E-Books, CDs, DVDs, Blu-Ray movies and videogames. Like our page to get all of the latest news on upcoming library events and other important information! Although South Park Township Library encourages posts, discussion, comments and varying viewpoints; the Library will not feature any comment that clearly contains any of the following and reserves the right to delete questions and/or comments that include the following:

Attention all teen anime and manga enthusiasts!

Teens (ages (13-18) are invited to join us after hours on Friday, October 23rd at 5:30 pm for our "Anime All-Stars Club." This is your chance to indulge in all things anime and manga. Enjoy watching your favorite shows on the big screen, discussing the latest manga releases, and participating in fun, anime-themed crafts.

This month, we’re welcoming spooky season with the Amazing Digital Circus (TV-PG) series! Create your own character using air-dry clay and craft buttons featuring your favorite characters.

The final day to drop off donations for the 2026 Friends of the South Park Township Library Foundation Fall Book Sale is Tuesday, October 20th!

If you are donating items, please place them in boxes and leave them INSIDE the Library’s Entryway DURING REGULAR HOURS OF OPERATION!

Adults are invited to hear about "The Phantom Brakeman and Other Railroad Ghost Stories" at our next Fall Munch and Learn program on Wednesday, October 28th at Noon.

Everybody loves a good ghost story, and lots of people love a good train story! Historian Kenneth Serfass will take the perspective of an old-time trainman and bring you along for some old-fashioned tales of specters and steamers. You will swear you can smell the coal smoke and hear the bells and whistles of locomotives long gone, leaving it to your imagination to get on board and connect with the other side, where history and storytelling meet like two trains passing in the night.

This program will take place in the Community Center.

Adults are invited to join us for our transformative monthly "Reiki & Peaceful Vibes" class designed for beginners and anyone seeking a peaceful, relaxing experience. This program will take place in the Community Center on Tuesday, October 27th at 12:00 pm.

This session integrates gentle stretches, breathwork, guided meditation, and Reiki to promote holistic well-being. This class is suitable for all levels and provides a nurturing environment for rejuvenation and renewal of the mind, body and spirit.
Join us to experience a holistic journey to peace and relaxation.

The cost is $15 per person with a portion going to South Park Township Library.
Bring a mat/towel/pillow or whatever makes you comfortable if you would like to use the floor. Tammy Ziccardi, our Integrated Yoga Instructor, will be the instructor.

Teens are invited to step into an enchanting after‑hours Halloween haven at the South Park Township Library's "Till Death Do Us Art: Co**se Bride & Haunted Dioramas" program on Saturday, October 24th at 5:30 pm.

Teens are invited to enjoy a special screening of "Co**se Bride" (PG), paired with a night of eerie, artsy creations.

Craft your own haunted dioramas, complete with ghost-in-a-jar elements and air-dry clay decorations inspired by the film’s gothic aesthetic. We’ll also have pizza, snacks, and popcorn to fuel your TeenTober adventure!

Feel free to wear your Halloween costume and add to the festive fun! Whether you’re here for the movie, the crafts, or the seasonal vibes, this after‑hours event is the perfect way to celebrate TeenTober.

𝐋𝐀𝐒𝐓 𝐂𝐀𝐋𝐋 for Teens to enter our "TeenTober Pumpkin Decorating Contest!" Decorate your faux pumpkin and return it to South Park Township Library by Thursday, October 15th. 🎃

Pumpkins will be displayed in the Library from October 19th - October 29th for community voting. The winner will be announced on Saturday, October 31st and will receive a $25 gift card!

If you are interested in participating, please register online at the Library's Calendar of Events by October 14th.
