South Plainfield Cops & Bobbers 2024 Fishing Tournament.
Dear Friend(s):
The South Plainfield Police Athletic League, PBA Local 100, along with the South Plainfield Police Department, is starting to make plans for our Cops and Bobber Fishing Tournament. Our event will be held at Spring Lake Park, 2505 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfied, NJ 07080, on Sunday, June 2, 2024.
We rely on the generosity of people and businesses like yours to allow us to put on this type of event at no cost to the participants or their families. All gifts and donations are tax-deductible (ID #22-6063309).
Children ages 5–13 are invited to enjoy a free morning of fishing alongside members of the South Plainfield Police Department. Sign-in will take place from 8:30 to 8:50 a.m. This event is for South Plainfield residents only. Participants are required to bring their own equipment. Limited equipment will be available for those who do not have it. This is a great way for the children to discover the joy of fishing while interacting with the officers that serve their community in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. Our officers will work side by side with kids, helping them bait, cast, hook, and release. Prizes will be given for the largest fish caught for age groups 5–9 and 10–13. The first one hundred registrants will be provided with a Cops and Bobbers Fishing Tournament shirt paid for by the South Plainfield Police Athletic League. Advanced registration is required. You can register by clicking on this link: https://forms.gle/AjKLBZVMmvoBRx2p6.
If you wish, you can contact me at (908) 226-7665 or [email protected] and we can make arrangements to pick up your donation(s), or checks can be made out to South Plainfield Police Athletic League (Fishing Tournament in memo) and mailed to South Plainfield Police Athletic League Attn. Lt. Chris Colucci, 2480 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, NJ. 07080.
Any help you can provide to ensure this event is a success will be greatly appreciated. The South Plainfield Police Athletic League believes our youth are our greatest asset.
