American Legion Chaumont Post 243

American Legion Chaumont Post 243 American Legion Chaumont Post 243 is a veterans organization located in South Plainfield New Jersey Gardner Detachment of the Marine Corps League.

Chartered in 1934, Chaumont Post 243 serves veterans, their families and the greater South Plainfield Community. Our Post is host to The Suburban Women's Club, Boy Scouts, and the J.J. We have sponsored Legion baseball teams, candidates for American Legion Jersey Boys' State, and the national American Legion High School Oratorical Scholarship Program. In the last several years we have awarded over $40,000 in scholarships and grants to local high school seniors and a veteran of the Armed Forces.

🇺🇸 Thank you to everyone who came out today in honor of Memorial Day 🇺🇸

Special thanks to South Plainfield BSA Troop 207 for replacing over a thousand flags and veteran markers at three of our local cemeteries last weekend. They also cleaned up our property followed by spreading fresh mulch donated by KLK Trucking.
