Well said! Corruption happens in both parties and we've seen far too many examples! People need to stop paying attention to party alone and look at the policies. 👏

Andover (and Sussex County, to be honest) needs NEW leadership instead of the same old politicians who have become so comfortable with their power they no longer feel need to earn your vote. 😬

Over the past few months, we’ve had the privilege of speaking with many of our Andover neighbors while campaigning for Township Committee. Some want to chat about what’s going on in town today, while others ask about our ideas for the future. And some simply start with, “what are you?”, wanting to know about our political affiliations.

We are candidates who have always voted based on policy, not party. So when the question is posed, we sometimes forget that political affiliation matters to many people. If your values align with one side or the other, we completely respect that.

We also believe that, in local politics, the decisions made affect us all more intimately. Many issues don't depend on whether you're red or blue. They're a shared, collective effort: about our quality of life, our safety, our home values, our roads, and our rural character and environment.

So, though the process requires us to list a party affiliation for the ballot, we hope you'll ask us what we think is important for our community and how we can make it a bit better during our time of service. If our answers align with your values, consider us aligned with you.

This is when elected officials really show where their loyalties lie. 🤢

Is it with their constituents? 🤔

No, it's with their party. 👎

These were not hard questions but yet Roxbury Mayor Sean Potillo refused to answer. ❌️

Why? 🤨

Because no Republican official will criticize Tom Kean Jr this close to an election when losing the congressional seat to Democrat Rebecca Bennett is a strong possibility. 🙃

What you've declared here, Mayor Potillo, is that rather than being honest with your constituents, you will play political games and withhold information that you have no reason to deny. 🙄

We know the answer--Tom Kean Jr is a liar. He has not been there, he has not been helping, and he has been absent from his duties for far too long. 😬

Additionally, he states in his email that he has been working on this issue for the past TEN MONTHS. A little quick math and you'll realize that's October of last year. News about the Roxbury warehouse being purchased by ICE didn't surface until December. ❄️

Did he know about this before even the township did and decide not to share? Or is he so out of touch on this that he doesn't know when it started? 🧐

But none of that matters to the Roxbury Town Council. They'd rather betray their constituents trust and re-elect a useless representative than have a Democrat take the seat. 😒

Last night, at the Sparta Town Council meeting, we confronted Mr. Sylvester face to face about his election contributions. 😚

He confidently winked at his running mate, Ron Day, in the audience without realizing that he just confessed to the accusation that he did not know who contributed $4,000 to his campaign last year. 💀

When you take contributions, you sign off that you know who the money is coming from. This is to avoid both someone donating under a fictitious name or a straw donor situation. 🔍

By stating that you "uncovered" that this person was a "verified" individual, you have admitted that you don't know who this person is. 😬

Because despite all your bluster about "political theater", you never answered the question...who is Oliver Mallen? Your cousin, your lover? Who? 🧐

They still listed the same address your top donor, Brian Hendricks, CEO of Terco, used to live at. Why did $6,000 come from 2 donors both associated with the same address? 🤨

If you’re so committed to transparency, then what is their actual name and address? Show us. Then file an amended campaign contribution report. 📖

Doubling down when you make a mistake and then confidently winking to your running mate is the sort of arrogance that a person too used to being in power has. You're faaaaaaar too comfy in that seat. 😒

Shoot first, ask questions later. Does that sound like justice to you? Between this and ICE, when will people start to feel the weight of that boot on their necks? When they snap it?

22-year-old Glenwood “Bubba” Pysher was was fatally shot by police in Pennsylvania early Sunday after mistakenly knocking on the wrong door after a night out.

According to 6ABC, Pysher’s mother said he'd been at a local bar celebrating a friend’s birthday before the group went to the friend’s house.

Pysher, who decided to walk, approached the wrong home, knocked on the door and asked to be let in, his mother said. The startled homeowners called 911. Pysher was unarmed, his mother said. When officers encountered the man at the rear of the property, they shot and killed him.

He had recently transferred to Saint Elizabeth University as as a student-athlete. A GoFundMe campaign, launched by a family friend to support Pysher’s family, said the tragedy has left his loved ones with “unimaginable” heartbreak.

Where did Sparta's Municipal Reserves Go? 🧐

The "People Over Politics" candidates running for Sparta Town Council (Sylvester, Convey, & Day) will tell you that the current council is at fault for the draining Municipal reserves and vote for their ticket so your taxes don't go up. 🤨

Either they don't understand Municipal budgets (a bad look for council members) or they are lying to get your votes. 😬

Not raising taxes AT ALL while inflation goes up is fiscally irresponsible. It’s like only making the minimum payment on a credit card with high interest. You eventually hit the ceiling and the bill comes due. 😩

The people that opened the credit card were the previous council (Quinn, Hertzberg & Smith) and they kicked the problem down the road to the current one to deal with. That's how the Municipal reserves were drained. 🫠

Sylvester, Convey, & Day are not looking out for you, they are looking out for the developers that pay them. They want to give you solutions that will make the problem worse, not better. 🙄

Still "fear over facts"? Or can we acknowledge that the only people fearful of the facts is the people running on a developer-bought ticket? 😒

👉Please come to the Sparta town council meeting tonight at 7PM to demand answers from Mr. Sylvester and also show support for the ordinance that is keeping Sparta from being paved over by mega-warehouses! 👈
