Alongside our colleagues at NJ Appleseed, Project NINJA has submitted a formal notice to the DHS Office of the Inspector General outlining clear legal violations and procedural irregularities surrounding the purchase of the warehouse in Roxbury as an ICE detention center.

​The facts are alarming: $130 million in taxpayer funds spent on a property they can't use and a deal conducted without legal representation that disproportionately benefited private interests like Goldman Sachs & Dalfen Industrial.

​We have handed our findings over to the OIG--now, it is time for them to do their job. See our summary in the graphics above.

If you support ICE & DHS despite their actions, then you are supporting a country that is lawless--where checks & balances only exist in the bank accounts of corporations that want our tax money. When you support ICE & DHS, you are supporting the death of the Constitution our government is meant to uphold & our nation.

We are present for the detainees but remember--every life is precious, and that includes yours. 🫶

You cannot pour from an empty cup--caring for ourselves is an essential part of the work we do to care for those inside. 🫂
