Established in 1983 to serve Lawrence County, Ohio business and industry, the Greater Lawrence County Area Chamber of Commerce (the Chamber) plays a major role in representing the interest of the membership. An extensive communication network had been developed to keep open lines of communication with all branches of local, state, and federal government. Active Chamber committees, led by knowledge

able volunteers assure that Lawrence County’s position on issues related to legislation, transportation, natural resources, education and economic development are addressed in a proactive manner. Thus, Lawrence Countians have a voice in actions that affect their present, as well as the future. When important issues arise, Lawrence County is prepared to represent the best interests of the areas employers and the workforce in a timely fashion.

We will be teaching an Advanced Weather Spotter Class at the Joint Response Operations Center in Coal Grove, OH (Lawrence Co) on Monday June 15th. After a review of the basic class materials, this advanced class will dive a little deeper into complex thunderstorm dynamics, advanced storm structure, and how to interpret radar data.

Summer Meals Program - We are grateful for Briggs Lawrence County Public Library and the meals they provide to our youth.

FREE SUMMER MEALS AT THE LIBRARY!

A reminder that Free Summer Meals begin June 1 at Briggs Lawrence County Public Library!

Thanks to our partnership with the Children’s Hunger Alliance, kids and teens can enjoy FREE nutritious meals all summer long at our Ironton and South Point library locations.
