Sorry for being MIA lately.

I took a short vacation but I never stopped gathering and thinking some contents. Lately I’ve been having trouble jotting down my ideas, I have a lot actually. Speaking of “a lot” I don’t even know what to write first. That’s why I really needed that rest since I don’t remember the last time I had a break. (But I still wrote my ideas in my notebook lmao) 😂

Hi! My name is Ralph, I’m a Tourism Management graduate from La Salle.

When I was a child I really love dressing up, wearing my mom’s dresses, high heels and makeup. I like pretending to shop around our house as if I was in a shopping mall. I really love putting things together, I always knew how things went together and it’s boring for me to just sit in the corner without doing anything. I was most at home when I design outfits, sketching, modeling on our kitchen isle, pretending to travel around the world and that’s what led me to take Tourism Management course.

Because of my course I went to my dream country to work and travel at the same time. Having this kind of opportunity was very fulfilling. I learned to travel alone in places I never been to, I learned a lot of things, I gained experiences, I get to know a lot of people from different countries, cultures, languages, tasted a lot of foods and most importantly I met friends from different sides of the world.

Formal qualifications and a degree are not required. You don’t need to be a diploma holder to become a Social Media Manager. As long as you are ready to learn the basics of marketing and writing. It doesn’t matter what your background is. It’s okay to learn it on your own.

If you really want to pursue something you can achieve it. Believe in your self!

To be an effective SMM you should:

1. Find your niche, go for something that you love to do.

Can’t decide your niche yet?
Answer this, “What are your hobbies and interests?” For sure it’ll bring you closer to the niche you want.

2. Determine your goal.

Setting a social media goal is a key step toward proving as improving the value of your social media. Goals help you see your improvements and success. They help you know how efficient you are. They give you direction.

3. Choose your Social Media Platform.

Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok, Twitter and YouTube are few of the popular social media platforms we have. Choose the one you are confident to use. Select the platforms that will allow you to focus your efforts.

4. Define your KPI to measure your success and goals.

Key Performance Indication is one way of measuring the performance over time for a specific goal. It provides targets, do’s and don’ts, strategies, progress, insights and other things that can help make better decisions.
