Recent Review: If you are visiting Portland, stay with Mark. No question. Not only is he an incredible host, the house is amazing and the location is perfect. Mark was very responsive, provided us with an early check in, and was there to greet us when we arrived. The house is a large Victorian with lots of charm and amenities. Mark runs it almost like a bed and breakfast with coffee etc. there if you want it. He also has a large selection of bikes, helmets, and bike locks for you to borrow. There is also beach stuff to borrow, but we didn’t get a chance to take advantage of that. We rode the bikes into downtown Portland (only about a 15min ride). The location is perfect-right over the bridge into downtown Portland (maybe a 5-10 min drive). We were only there for one night and didn’t get to spend too much time at the house but I wish we could have stayed longer. I would have loved to just lounge around the house-there are lots of living room spaces with big comfy couches, a pool table, and lots of deck space for hanging out outside. I can’t say enough great things about this place or Mark. It was fantastic!

Mark's accommodation is beautiful! It is an old and very spacious house with a magnificent decoration of ancient objects. The room is super spacious too and the bed very comfortable. We had everything for breakfast and to relax playing ping pong! We love cats and the tranquility of the place.

Recent Review: We rode off the bike path and up a short hill and right away we knew which house was our AirBnB. Mark has done an amazing job restoring this Victorian home inside and out! Nice big spacious kitchen, lovely living rooms and a game room to relax in. Sugar, Mikey, Percible and Gwendolyn will soon appear as they are the house cats. Our room was very nice, the bed was very comfy. There was lots of coffee and breakfast in the morning. Wonderful stay. We loved it.

Recent Review: We absolutely loved staying here! It was honestly my best Airbnb experience to date. The inside of the house is spacious and beautiful, there are 4 friendly resident cats to keep you company . The home feels like an old fashioned bed and breakfast where you can serve yourself to fresh made coffee and provided breakfast foods in the morning. The bed was super comfy and the room had its own mini fridge to use. Mark is an outgoing and friendly host who also knows how to just let you enjoy your time in peace. Very communicative and responsive. We are definitely coming back!

Recent Review: Mark's house is beautiful and he is a great host. He greeted us and recommended some places to go. Parking is easy. Mark makes everything easy. The location is so close to walking trails with a light house, a beautiful beach, and a quick drive to downtown Portland. The place is clean and items like eggs and coffee and yogurt are provided for us in the beautiful modern kitchen. There is a great balcony for sitting and lounging and even a pool table. I hope to stay again soon!

Recent Review: A great place to stay in South Portland. Everything was very clean and the bed was very comfortable! Mark was very hospitable, and with fresh fruit and coffee always available, it seemed more like a B&B. The house is gorgeous, and interesting to look around a bit at the unique decor. Great location and easy to find. Would definitely stay here again!

Recent Review: Mark's home is huge and beautiful. Even though there are other guests staying there, the place always seems quiet, relaxed, and cozy. The common areas are tastefully decorated and inviting. Our kids love the pool table even though they don't know how to play properly. Mark was always available and attentive, full of suggestions and ready to help. He also had beach chairs/toys/towels available which made it our visit to the beach (only 10 min walk away) even better. Even though we didn't have the entire place to ourselves, the fact that the home is so large and we had a lock on the door and our own bathroom & shower, it still felt very private. The location of the place is also excellent: quiet street with own parking spaces. 2 min drive (or 10 min walk) to a great beach, great neighborhood breakfast place one block away, 10 min drive from Old Port & Portland downtown. Highly recommend!

Recent Review: Mark is an amazing host. He provided such an amazing hospitable experience. He left information about near beaches and sightseeing locations and restaurants. Staying with Mark felt like home, the place was incredibly uniquely decorated with antique furniture and decor. Mark offered breakfast and coffee in the morning, umbrellas, towels and bikes for beach outings. The room we had included it’s own full bathroom with an array of complementary amenities. We had a door right before our bathroom that made the stay feel more private and comfortable. Absolutely one of the best stays I’ve experienced.
