Reading Fire & Rescue was toned on Thursday, April 23 @ 1523 for mutual aid to West Windsor for a brush fire just off of Route 44 on a hillside. A branch had fallen on a powerline sparking the fire.

Reading responded with 5 personnel along with Engine 2, Tanker 1, Utility 1 and forestry trailer.

At the scene, Reading sent a crew up to fight the fire.

Engine 2 supplied water to the firefighting crew through a 1-1/2" line. As the water in Engine 2 got low, Tanker 2 supplied it with water. In all, Reading supplied about 1200 gallons of water to the fire line.

All Reading units were back in quarters @ 1820.

At 12:18 a.m. on April 18, Reading Fire & Rescue was dispatched to an MVC on Route 106 north of Flatiron Road. We responded with Engine 2 and Rescue Truck and 7 personnel. On arrival we found the vehicle had gone off the left side of the road and into a power pole. Investigation revealed that there were no occupants at the scene. We checked for hazards (power lines, fluid leaking, etc.) and determined that there were none. We remained on scene and provided scene lighting and traffic control for VSP and Windsor County S.O... After the vehicle was removed, we cleaned the debris from the highway. All units were cleared at 2:25 a.m.
