Ever wonder what goes on inside the Little House? This is a peak at just one of many girl-led events. Ambassador Girl Scout Prisha is teaching teens how to use woodworking tools properly and safely. It is part of her Gold Award proejct that culminated in building agility equipment for the East Brunswick dog park.

Are you done walking in your shoes? Donate them!

From now until December 13th, help us raise funds for our community policing programs and events by simply donating gently worn and new shoes! We earn funds for each pair. Collected shoes are then given a second life by those in need. It’s a WIN-WIN!

Donations can be dropped off in the collection bin in the lobby of Police Headquarters located at 61 Main Street, South River.

Proceeds benefit the South River community by helping fund our department's community policing programs and events including Law Enforcement Against Drugs, National Night Out, Too Good for Drugs, Junior & Citizen Police Academies, Free-throw Tournament, Coffee With a Cop, and more.

Courageous and Strong! Thank you Officer Stone.

Recently, Officer Danielle Stone was invited by the South River Girl Scouts to attend their Daisy Troop’s meeting. The girls were working on their “Courageous & Strong” petal. Officer Stone spent time speaking with the girls and answering their questions about having the courage and strength to try something new and sticking up for others. At a Little House clean up today the girls were amused to find some vintage uniforms. They would totally be OK with bringing the beanie hat back as part of the current uniform. (We're all a bit done with the mask "accessory" but will do what we need to do as long as we need to do it.)
