Due to fire hydrant repairs taking place on McPherson Street, area residents may experience low water pressure and/or discolored water. Repairs will be taking place today, March 2nd between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM.

Running your cold water for several minutes as well as flushing your toilets once or twice may clear up any discoloration in some cases. If experiencing discolored water, avoid doing laundry until the color returns to normal.

Due to emergency water main break repairs taking place on Levinson Avenue, area residents may experience low water pressure and/or discolored water. In addition, residents in the immediate area may lose water service during the repair process. Repairs will begin shortly and are anticipated to be completed by 2:00 PM this afternoon.

The South River Water Department's 2022 FALL HYDRANT FLUSHING program will commence on Monday, October 31st and end on November 17th.
During hydrant flushing, there may be a decrease in water pressure as well as a discoloration in the water. This is not harmful and will not affect the safety of the water for drinking and sanitation purposes. If discoloration occurs, run your cold water for several minutes and flush your toilets once or twice to clear your lines. All residents are urged not to do laundry while hydrant flushing is taking place in their neighborhood.

**RECYCLING COLLECTION UPDATE**

A MESSAGE FROM THE SOUTH RIVER DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS (South River Public Works)

The Borough of South River has been notified that Solterra did not complete the below listed streets on today's recycling route. The streets that were not collected today will instead be picked up tomorrow, May 27th.

- Pulawski Avenue
- West Grochowiak Street
- Joseph Street
- Grove Street
- Franklin Street
- Paul Avenue
- Frank Street
- Raritan Avenue
- Wilson Avenue

Residents of these streets should leave their recyclables at the curb tonight for pick up tomorrow morning.

Tomorrow's normally scheduled recycling route will still be collected as normal.

The South River Recycling Center located at 9 Ivan Way will be open on Saturday between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM should residents wish to drop off their recyclable materials.
