The company’s first product, TetraKO™, is a direct response to the growing concern over the toxicity of existing firefighting foams, super absorbent polymer-based fire suppressants, and phosphorus and ammonia dioxide–based retardants. These suppressants and retardants can be harmful to fish, mammals, plants and the watershed. TetraKO transforms ordinary water into an adhering aqueous gel that can be pumped through standard fire equipment. Among its many benefits is faster fire suppression, less water damage to structures, reduced water use and enhanced firefighter safety. Unlike all other products in its category, TetraKO employs a patented formula that, when mixed with water, provides and incredibly effective fire suppressant. It has been certified non-toxic and “ready biodegradable”, the highest level possible, by an accredited, independent research lab.
