⚔️ Let your imagination run wild and create your own adventure at our Teen Dungeons & Dragons group! Join us next Monday November 3rd @ 4pm at the Library for our next meeting as we continue our Turn of Fortunes Wheel campaign. This group, led by our awesome D&D Expert Alex Diminnio, meets every other week, and is perfect for seasoned players or those who've always wanted to learn how to play.

🧙 Why play D&D? Dungeons & Dragons has been shown to: enhance creativity and storytelling capabilities; improve vocab development and active listening skills; encourage teamwork and problem solving; and increase social and emotional learning skills in the digital age. Also, can't forget about math! Plus, it can be a strong activity for future college applications. Why not join and give it a try?

🏥 Led by Julie Woodward from the Westchester Library System, this engaging, interactive program outlines the various parts of Medicare and lays out the costs associated with the medical and drug insurance provided by the government and private companies. 🎶 Do you have your seats yet for our upcoming concert with Susan Said? Experience the Library transformed into a Nightclub* Concert as we welcome Susan Said back to the Library stage on Friday November 21st @ 7:30pm – you don't want to miss this!

🎸 Susan Said is an alternative rock band from NYC that has been playing for over 30 years. It features lead singer/songwriter Susan Wilson-Sed, Matthew Rocchio on bass, Brendan Saadat on lead guitar and Todd Budich on drums. A popular local favorite, the band has toured the US, Europe, and Canada, and released 4 albums.

🎤 Reserved seating is $45 per person. Price includes beer, soft drinks, wine and light bites. Doors will open at 7pm.

🎶 Nightclub Concert: Susan Said in Concert
🗓️ Friday November 21st @ 7:30pm
📍 Lewisboro Library
📋 Purchase tickets in-person at the Library, or online: https://secure.qgiv.com/for/susansaidconcert/event/susansaidconcert/

🎤 This event is a benefit for the Lewisboro Library. We are so thankful for our presenting sponsor, realtor Mark Boyland of The Mark Boyland Team at Keller Williams Realty Partners, as well as our wine and food sponsors, Country Liquor, The Horse and Hound Inn and Lily's Deli & Market. Their sponsorship helps underwrite the cost of the concert, so more proceeds can go directly to the Library.

*For those new to Town, the “Nightclub” appears when the main floor and upper lever shelving is rolled away to reveal a raised stage – complete with concert lighting! Chairs are set up, lights are dimmed and the Nightclub transformation is complete!

The Westchester Library System (WLS) works to respond to community needs by connecting people with the resources, services and programs available through their public libraries and WLS. When the COVID pandemic caused the temporary closure of Westchester’s libraries in 2020, WLS responded by increasing access to digital collections and doubled the number of checkouts on the hoopla and Kanopy platforms.

WLS kept those higher checkout levels for as long as possible, but the rising costs of allowing these extra checkouts has become too expensive. WLS will continue to provide access to hoopla and Kanopy, but effective November 1, 2025, the number of monthly checkouts per person will be 5 for hoopla and 30 tickets for Kanopy.

We thank you for your understanding and for your ongoing support.

💟 It’s a mom’s night out at the Library next week! Come hear author Ali Flynn at our Author Talk next Wednesday November 5th @ 7pm at the Library as she discusses her new book, Hang in There, Mama! Encouragement and Advice for Moms Raising Teens and Beyond.

💐 The book is an uplifting, motivational guide for moms everywhere, with words of clarity, wisdom, and understanding for raising kids in the often-tumultuous phases of pre-teen and teenage years. Each chapter reveals raw, honest experiences of good and bad parenting days, from the highest joys to the worst failures. It guides mothers how to open the doors of communication, step out of their comfort zones, and come alongside other moms to reassure one another they are not alone on this journey.
