27. the kitchen conversations

29. the “junk day” treasures
30. Pop’s woodshop
31. Pop’s shirtless mowing
32. Shower doors that spun and were dark tinted plastic
33. Piñatas!
34. Skylights (that almost always leaked)
35. climbing up to the loft bed that (somehow) felt like it was 38 feet off the ground
36. Rolling window handles (that almost never closed all the way)
37. sweepin’ the court
38. “doin the lines” (and somehow never realizing the inadvertent drug reference)
39. The big room
40. Movies in the big room
41. Popcorn and more popcorn
42. Sleeping in the big room
43. Aunt Mamie’s Punch
44. Smell of Mickey waffles
45. Taste of Mickey waffles
46. Moldy bread that’s “still good”
47. “you’re not throwing that away are you?”
48. Pop’s “84 vitamins a day” (I bet they either survived the fire or there will be some super-giant plants growing out of the ashes in the spot of the vitamin cabinet).
49. mandatory music & piano concerts (for the adults entertainment)
50. charades
51. games of Werewolf
52. The rattling metal sound of the spiral staircase
53. Getting “some more wood” for the fireplaces
54. Celebrating “this month’s birthdays.” So many birthdays.
55. ICE CREAM CAKES!!
56. Flying saucers
57. Weddings
58. Any excuse for a party actually
59. Feasts that “just appear”
60. Buffet lines
61. So many plants
62. Moving so many plants
63. Trying to find any working writing implement or piece of paper on the first floor or kitchen area. ever.
64. Loud conversations, diverse opinions but somehow never got ugly or turned into real arguments
65. The best & biggest family I know.
