Please join us Thursday June 20, 2019 at the CCTC Downtown Campus (Iris Room) from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm for a Public Open House Meeting on the Sumter 2040 Comprehensive Plan Update. Stop by and view draft policies and maps to guide future development in both the City and County. Planning staff will be available to answer questions, provide additional information, and to hear your feedback. We look forward to seeing you there!

The purpose of the Sumter 2040 initiative is to direct and guide growth in both the City of Sumter, South Carolina and Sumter County. It’s a comprehensive plan mandated by South Carolina State Law: the Planning Enabling Legislation found in Chapter 29 of the South Carolina Code of Law. By law, Sumter must update its comprehensive plan every 10 years.
