Today we honor and remember South Tucson Police Officer John A Valenzuela, Badge #225. EOW May 17, 1993. May we never forget the ultimate sacrifice he made for our community. John was a Guardian Angel of the children and a huge supporter of our Explorer program. Rest In Peace, Brother.

Today we had the honor to have 3 cadets of the South Tucson Police Explorer Post #317 and their advisor Carlos Valdez. Our Pueblo Optimist Club of Tucson President Willard presented Carlos and the Explorers with a check for $700 for helping our club with the 4th Ave Street Fair and with the cleaning of the fountains at Park Place. They will also help us with a cleanup at bringoutthebest.org in a couple of weeks.

Carlos said the money will go towards any Explorer cadet that needs help with paying for their uniforms or any equipment needed. Thank you ST Explorers!
