In 1863, Jules Verne wrote a novel set in 1960s Paris. It described gas‑powered cars, fax machines, skyscrapers, and even a global communication network—long before any of them existed.

But his publisher rejected it. He called the book too pessimistic and shelved it. Verne locked the manuscript in a safe and moved on.

It stayed there for 131 years. In 1994, his great‑grandson found it and had it published. Today, it's seen as one of Verne's most visionary works.

A future so accurate, the world wasn't ready for it. 📖🔮😲
