If you believe he can be a reasonable, respectful member of the school board here is a reminder that he does not value half of the community and their children.

One week left until Election Day. If you vote early, make sure to vote NO ON 1 to preserve our already secure absentee balloting (since 1921!). Absentee voting ends on October 30th! The clerk's office is open until 7PM that day.

Also one week left to vote for experienced, competent, educated, compassionate school board candidates Christina Small and Matthew Irving. The alternative is bigoted, book-banning, gun-loving, regressive candidates

Mailings from the xenophobic Maine First Project have appeared in Windham supporting Adam Zajac all but confirming he is a one trick pony. His campaign is based on attacking LGBTQ+ kids and district educators. We have much better choices to vote for on Nov 4th!

Having town council members that understand responsible growth and increased revenue sources are vital to funding our schools and town services are crucial in this time of ever increasing costs and decreasing home ownership. No one wants less value for their tax dollars. No one wants to cut emergency services, have crumbling infrastructure, or have 30 kids per classroom so just saying "no new taxes" is not a realistic answer.

Cast your vote for:

Margaret Terry
Joseph A Campbell
Doug Fortier

Adam Zajac leans heavily into ideological wars rather than substance in his forum appearance and his write up in the Windham Eagle. His reasoning for fourth and eighth graders' scores being down is 'the system ..shoving identity politics down their throats'. He reminds me of JD Vance in that he will create stories until people and the media pay attention. The district's high school and middle schools post compete curriculums online for parent review. There is no 'gender class'. He would rather blame 'gender ideology' than admit what many teachers have known for years. Kids are spending more time on social media and gaming than they are reading. And, children are coming into kindergarten less and less prepared every year. Parents need to be partners with their children's teachers and make sure they come to school ready to learn.

Should we elect officials who harass other government employees for their protected private speech?

The candidate forum last night was a wonderful idea and our thanks to the town officials that made it happen. Christina Small and Matt Irving did a fantastic job letting voters know who they are and what they would bring to potential roles on the board. Christina's knowledge and experience was evident in explaining the board's true role in supporting the district. Matthew's preparedness for the forum shows his conviction to understanding the issues facing the district and providing positive solutions.
