Join us at the South Windsor Public Library this Tuesday, June 2, at 6:00 PM, to create a square for our community quilt! All skill levels welcome, no past quilting experience required.

We made this quilt square of the library using our Makerspace's sublimation printer, heat press, and sewing machine!

The first of this two-part series of workshops will focus on designing your square. At the end of this workshop, you will have a square ready to be completed at home.

We will be assembling our completed squares into a quilt during part two of this series on Tuesday, June 30, at 6:00 PM. The community quilt will be on display in the library's Stairwell Gallery throughout the month of July.

The Friends of the South Windsor Public Library's Jewelry Sale is next week!

Join us Friday, June 5, from 1:00 PM - 4:30 PM, and Saturday, June 6, from 9:15 AM - 12:30 PM, for this fundraiser at the South Windsor Public Library. There will be an array of jewelry for sale, and all proceeds support Library programming. Payment may be made by cash or check.

Join us at the South Windsor Public Library on Monday, June 1, from 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM, for an American Red Cross Blood Drive!

Donors get a $15 e-gift card to choice of merchant PLUS automatic entry for a chance to win one of two $7,500 gift cards when they come to give blood June 1–28!

The Red Cross provides about 40% of our nation’s blood and blood cell components to donors. Your blood donations are used for patients in need of surgery, cancer treatment and transfusions for blood loss from traumatic injuries.

Thank you to everyone who attended Tuesday's meeting of Cookin' the Books!

Attendees brought dishes they made using recipes from Whiskey in a Teacup, by Reese Witherspoon. These included Sweet Potato Casserole with Candied Pecan Crust, Strawberry Fields Salad, Pecan-Crusted Chicken Skewers, Cheddar Biscuits, and more!
