Monday September 14th – Friday September 18th

Sewer preparations on Route 28 near Parker’s River Landing

· The sewer contractor will continue installation of dewatering wells on Route 28 between Courtland Lane and Parker’s River.
· One lane alternating traffic will be maintained.

Water Main work on Route 6A

· Water main installation on Route 6A between Railroad Avenue and Wharf Lane.
· One lane alternating traffic will be maintained.

Bass River Bridge Project

· Drainage work on North Main Street and Old Main Street.
· One lane alternating traffic will be maintained.

Today, the Town of Yarmouth pauses to honor and remember the lives lost 25 years ago on September 11, 2001, and the many heroes and first responders who have lost their lives as a result of illnesses and cancers developed after exposure and recovery efforts.

Due to ongoing construction at the Yarmouth Disposal Area, the Construction & Demo pad will be closed from Monday, 9/14/26 through Tuesday, 9/22/26.

The scale will be open for non-C&D-related business, as well as the trash and recycling area.

The Yarmouth Fire Department, MA & The Town of Yarmouth is inviting members of the community to join us for a 9/11 Memorial Ceremony to pay tribute to the victims, first responders, and families impacted by the tragedy 25 years ago.

Today, we pause to remember the courage and ultimate sacrifices made by so many. Please join us for a solemn Remembrance Ceremony to honor the lives lost, pay tribute to the families impacted, and salute the heroism of our first responders.

No work scheduled on Labor Day (Monday, Sept. 7th, 2026)

• Installation of a new water main on Route 6A will begin on Wednesday, September 9. Work will begin at the Barnstable Town Line and move eastward.
• One-lane alternating traffic will be maintained.

Yarmouth Town Offices and the Disposal Area will be closed on Monday, September 7th, 2026, for Labor Day. Both will reopen on Tuesday, September 8th, 2026.

The Town of Yarmouth is honored to welcome The Wall That Heals, a three-quarter scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall, in September.

With Yarmouth being the only Massachusetts stop on its national tour, we invite everyone to join us as we honor their service, remember their sacrifice, and reflect on Vietnam War's lasting impact on generations of Americans.

As part of the event, the POW/MIA flag will be raised in tribute to those who were prisoners of war and those who remain missing in action.

Join us at Parker’s River Landing from Thursday, September 17th through Sunday, September 20th. The memorial will be open 24 hours a day, rain or shine.
