Our SEMHS Boys Basketball team is playing in the CIF-SS Division 8 Semifinals — and this senior class is making it back-to-back Final Four appearances! 💪🏽🦅

For the second consecutive season, our seniors and team have led the way and they are ready to play. The focus is set. The mission is clear.

Our Boys Varsity Basketball team has advanced to the CIF SS Division 8 Semi-Final marking the second consecutive year our boys have made it to the Final FOUR!

This time, they’re determined to soar like the Eagles 🦅

- Vision for accurate shooting
- Strength for dominating the boards
- Tenacity for relentless defense

They are locked in and ready to battle for a spot in the Championship game.

Congratulations to Ailani Rodriguez and Henry Lim on being selected as recipients of the QuestBridge Match Scholarship. An incredible achievement that thoroughly covers the cost of higher education and supports long-term learning and upward mobility.

QuestBridge matches our high-achieving students with top colleges and universities, providing a “full-ride scholarship,” removing financial barriers, and opening pathways to opportunity.

Shoutout to Aden Gonzales, Class of 2027, for representing South El Monte High School and the EMUHSD with pride at the 2026 Tournament of Roses Parade. This marks Aden’s second year as a member of the prestigious Herald Trumpets, an incredible accomplishment.

Aden was also recognized by the El Monte Union High School Board of Trustees at the January 7, 2026 meeting.

Thank you, Aden, for sharing your talent and dedication on such a world-class stage. We’re so proud of you.

CIF Championship Alert! Support SEMHS Football on Friday, November 28th!

Students, Teachers, Staff, Parents, and SEMHS Friends & Families,

We are excited to share the final details for the Division 14 South El Monte High School Football Team as they compete for the CIF Championship title! Our Eagles have demonstrated tremendous effort in their playoff success, and we need the entire SEMHS community to show up and support them one last time.

On behalf of our school’s ASB Student Leadership, we invite all STUDENTS, TEACHERS, STAFF, PARENTS, ALUMNI, a community school guests to join us for a special pre-game Pep Rally on campus!

Let’s join together to send our team off to compete for the CIF D14 Championship.

Featuring: Performances by the Band, Drill, Color Guard, Song, and Cheer, plus a final appearance by our Football Team players and coaches!
