Two dogs were located on Brickyard Road approximately 30 minutes ago. One is a gray husky, and the other is an all black dog wearing a vest. If they belong to you, please contact us at 413-527-1120.

East Street will be closed between Pleasant Street and Middle Road for a tree/wires down. Please avoid the area while Eversource addresses this issue. Estimated time 4-8 hours.

E-BIKE SAFETY ALERT 🚲

PARENTS & YOUNG RIDERS: PLEASE READ the informational image below.

Electric bikes can be fun, convenient, and a great way to get around, but they are not toys.

Before allowing your child to ride, parents should know exactly what they are purchasing. A bike that looks like an e-bike may actually be an electric motorcycle or off-road vehicle that is not legal to operate on public roads, sidewalks, or bicycle paths.

These two kittens were found in the middle of the Russellville Road last night in the area of Crooked Ledge. Contact the Southampton Police Department at 413-527-1120 if you are the owner.

Good Afternoon Southampton,

We are excited to announce this outstanding safety initiative rewarding children who ride their bicycles safely. Thank you, Norris PTO and Sheldon's Ice Cream, for providing the Southampton Police Department the opportunity to support bicycle safety! Children observed by officers engaged in riding bicycles safely will receive a gift certificate for a regular cup/cone to Sheldon's Ice Cream!

***Traffic Detour*** starting Monday June 29th, East St access from College Hwy/Rt 10 will be blocked from 7 AM -3 PM due to construction of the water main. Traffic will be detoured down Clark St to East St. Local traffic to East St, Elm St, the library , and the Police Department will be open and accessed from the area of Clark St. We will update when the project is beyond this intersection.
