The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that pipe replacement is scheduled on Maple Avenue in Upper Southampton Township, Bucks County.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
• Thursday, June 13, and Friday, June 14, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Maple Avenue will be closed between Route 132 (Street Road) and Route 232 (Second Street Pike). During the closure, motorists are directed to use Route 132 (Street Road) and Route 232 (Second Street Pike).
• Local access will be maintained. Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
• Motorists can check conditions on major roadways by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information, and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional X alerts.

The Upper Southampton Municipal Authority (USMA) began installing a water main on County Line Road east of Davisville Road. Funding for this project was received through a grant from the Military Installation Remediation & Infrastructure Authority to offset the cost of connecting properties with private wells that have been impacted by PFOS/PFOA contamination to the public water system.
The USMA has been proudly serving the Upper Southampton Township residents since 1946.

The American Legion will be holding their annual Memorial Day ceremony. It will be held on Monday, May 27th at Veterans Memorial Field, 400 Street Road, Southampton, PA, starting at 9:30 AM, rain or shine.
The American Legion Post 800 has hosted this ceremony each year since 1947.
Please come join us.

Yard waste collection will resume on Monday, April 1, 2024. Please do not put any yard waste out with your regular household trash after Friday, March 29th.
Always use biodegradable, 30 gallon paper bags or trash containers that do not weigh more than 50 lbs.
Please keep in mind, tree branches/bushes must be no more than 36 inches long and less than 3 inches in diameter. They must be bundled, tied or taped, and cannot extend over the top of the can/bag.

DECLARATION OF SNOW AND ICE EMERGENCY
WHEREAS, the Philadelphia Office of the National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Lower Bucks County located in Southeast Pennsylvania from 10pm this evening, February 16, 2024, through 10am Saturday morning February 17, 2024 (hereafter "Adverse Weather Event'); and

WHEREAS, Upper Southampton Township is located in Lower Bucks County where the Winter Storm Warning is in effect; and

WHEREAS, the Adverse Weather Event is imminent and threatens to cause injury, damage, and suffering to the persons and property located in Upper Southampton Township; and

WHEREAS, in order to facilitate the movement of traffic and to combat the hazards of snow and ice on the snow emergency routes (all streets in Upper Southampton Township) the Emergency Management Coordinator may declare a snow and/or ice emergency. After such declaration it shall be unlawful, at any time during the snow emergency, for any person to park a motor vehicle or to allow that vehicle to remain parked anywhere on any snow emergency route in Upper Southampton Township.

NOW, THEREFORE, the Emergency Management Coordinator of Upper Southampton Township, based upon the above recitals and pursuant to Upper Southampton Township Ordinance #441, Chapter 174, §174-34, as amended, does hereby declare the existence of a Snow and Ice Emergency in Upper Southampton Township. This Declaration shall take effect at 10pm February 16, 2024, and remain in effect until 6pm February 17, 2024
