This morning SVA, ,and Southampton Town Ocean Rescue teamed up for a joint agency drill. We had the pleasure of working along side our neighbors to assist/train on incidents that are out of the norm but not out of the realm of possibility especially this time of year. Todayโ€™s drill was an over turned boat with multiple patients, everyone worked together incredibly to make the scenario go very smoothly, Thank you for inviting us!

Happy EMS Week to all of the incredible members, employees, supervisors, officers, providers, and higher ups who keep this field moving every single day. Thank you for the long hours, sleepless nights, sacrifices, leadership, and dedication you give to your crews and your communities.

EMS is more than flashing lights and sirens โ€” itโ€™s compassion, teamwork, and showing up on peopleโ€™s worst days.

If you see someone in EMS this week, give them a little extra love โ€” a high five, a hug, a coffee, or just remind them theyโ€™re appreciated. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿš‘ #2026

A couple weekends ago, SVA hosted a mock skills trial for the Suffolk County EMT class, giving students the chance to practice and prepare for their NYS skills practical exam in a realistic, hands-on environment ๐Ÿš‘

Weโ€™re incredibly grateful to have a facility that allows us to run trainings like this and support the next generation of EMTs as they get ready to serve their respective communities.

Last night, Southampton Volunteer Ambulance responded to a motor vehicle accident, where 3 patients were evaluated and transported to the hospital for further care.

As temperatures rise and drop, and roadways begin to ice over, we urge everyone to slow down, leave extra space between vehicles, and drive cautiously. A few extra minutes of care can make all the difference.

Your safety is our priority โ€” please help us by staying alert and driving safely. ๐Ÿš‘โ„๏ธ

On Thursday, our crews stayed busy responding to multiple alarms throughout the day. Two of those calls required patients to be medevaced. Thanks to strong teamwork and coordination, everything went smoothly.

We are incredibly grateful for the support of and Southampton Village Police Department for securing our landing zone, for assisting on scene, last but not least, The Suffolk County Police Department Aviation Section for their medevac response. Partnerships like these ensure our patients receive the highest level of care as quickly as possible.

Proud of our volunteers for always answering the call. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿš‘
