Our Director of Operations, Cody, shared how the Coalition serves our neighbors throughout Moore County and helped students learn about the many ways they can connect with our work. Students can turn to the Coalition when they need assistance, volunteer their time, or support our mission simply by donating or shopping at The Coalition Resale Shops

The Coalition Resale Shops help make clothing accessible and affordable for everyone in our community. Every purchase also directly funds the programs and services of the Sandhills Coalition, helping us provide food, clothing, financial assistance, and other essential support to our neighbors.

A new pair of shoes can help a student walk into the school year feeling comfortable, confident, and ready to learn.

Through Shoes for Students, the Coalition provides school shoe vouchers to local children whose families are facing financial hardship. Our goal this year is to help 275 students across Moore County, and every donation brings us one step closer.

A gift of $50 can provide shoes for an elementary school student, while $75 can provide shoes for a middle or high school student.

Together, we can offer care that hits close to home and help local students start the year on the right foot. đź’›

Sometimes, a box of groceries is just the beginning.

At the Sandhills Coalition, we know that families facing a difficult season often need more than one kind of support. That’s why our work extends beyond food.

Every day, we help our Moore County neighbors access groceries, clothing, emergency financial assistance, utility support, senior food programs, and other essential resources that can help bring a little stability when it’s needed most.

And behind every service is a community that makes it possible—donors, volunteers, churches, civic groups, businesses, and neighbors choosing to care for one another.

A new look. The same commitment to our community. ❤️

At the Sandhills Coalition, Care That Hits Close to Home means showing up for our neighbors in practical, meaningful ways.

Right now, that means helping local students start the school year with a new pair of shoes.

Through Shoes for Students, our goal is to provide new school shoes for 275 Moore County students this year—and every donation helps us get one step closer.

Join us for the 2nd Annual S**g Dancing in the Pines on Friday, October 30, at the Fair Barn in Pinehurst!

Enjoy an evening of live music from Band Of Oz, a delicious dinner from Embers BBQ, dancing, costumes (if you're feeling festive!), and the chance to make a meaningful difference for families across Moore County.

Did you know the Sandhills Coalition operates a satellite office in Robbins?

Our Robbins location provides food assistance, emergency support, and other essential services to families in the northern part of Moore County. By bringing these resources closer to home, we're helping ensure that every family has access to the care and support they need, regardless of where they live.

This work wouldn't be possible without Gary, our Robbins Area Lead, and an incredible team of dedicated volunteers. Week after week, they welcome neighbors with compassion, stock shelves, distribute food, and make sure every person who walks through our doors is treated with dignity and respect.

To Gary and our Robbins volunteers, thank you for your dedication and for helping us extend our mission across Moore County. Your commitment makes a difference every single day.

đź‘– Back to school starts with more than a new pair of shoes.

As families prepare for the school year, we're seeing a growing need for men's jeans in our clothing program.

While our Shoes for Students program helps provide footwear, many local students also rely on the Sandhills Coalition for the everyday clothing they need to head back to school with confidence.

We're especially looking for gently used men's jeans in teen and adult sizes. If you have a pair you're no longer wearing, consider donating them to help a local student start the year feeling confident and ready to learn.

Have a pair to donate? We'd be grateful to accept donations of men's jeans at either the Coalition or Resale campus during regular donation hours.

Every pair makes a difference. Thank you for supporting Moore County families.
