Our Little Free Libraries are getting hungry for new stories.

We’re collecting children’s books to restock them across the community! We’re looking for books in good condition—gently loved, and ideally more recent titles if you have them.

If your shelves are overflowing with outgrown favorites, we’d love to help them find a new audience of young readers.

Drop-offs welcome at Southern Pines Public Library during open hours!

What a wonderful day! ❤️

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our very first Immersive Community Field Trip with Meals on Wheels of the Sandhills. Participants had the opportunity to learn about the organization's mission, help pack snack bags, and take part in meal deliveries throughout the community.

A special thank you to the incredible team at Meals on Wheels of the Sandhills for welcoming us, sharing your work, and giving us a firsthand look at the impact you make every day. We are so grateful for your partnership and all that you do for our neighbors.

This experience reminded us that some of the best learning happens when we step outside our walls, connect with others, and lend a helping hand. We can't wait to see where our next field trip takes us!

❤️ Community isn't just where we live—it's what we build together.

Our Moore Reading Recommendations series continues with Nicole from Pages in the Pines!

When asked to choose her favorite book, Nicole said:

"There are so many wonderful stories and lives to live in books that picking one is like picking a favorite song—it depends on the day, the mood, the weather, and more! Almost impossible! But if I absolutely had to pick, it would be Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. The writing is so poetic and lovely while also being funny and sarcastic. I often fall asleep to the audiobook (the comfort of familiarity) and still find myself lost in the story."

If you're a book lover, be sure to check out Pages in the Pines, Moore County's mobile bookstore! Nicole has been collecting books old and new across a wide range of genres for readers of all ages. You'll find her popping up at local festivals, breweries, coffee shops, and other community events.

Thank you, Nicole, for sharing a timeless favorite with us! 📚
