Toddlers and young children are also at risk, as they can climb into a vehicle without supervision. Children may be playing or hiding, but if they enter a vehicle without the knowledge of an adult, they may be unable to get out of the car, especially if child locks are activated. It is essential to teach children that cars are not a place to play. Parents and caregivers should get into the habit of storing keys and fobs out of a child’s reach.

🚧 National Construction Safety Week 🚧

Construction zones are active work areas — not shortcuts, play areas, or places to explore.

For your safety and the safety of workers, please stay out of marked construction zones unless you are authorized to be there. Heavy equipment, uneven ground, open trenches, falling debris, and limited visibility can create serious hazards in seconds.

Remember:⚠️ Obey all barriers, cones, and warning signs🚫 Never move or go around barricades👀 Keep children away from construction sites🚗 Slow down and stay alert near road work areas🎧 Avoid distractions like phones or headphones around active work zones

Construction workers deserve a safe place to do their jobs, and the public deserves to go home safely too. Respect the zone and help prevent injuries.

🏍️ Motorcycle Safety Reminder 🏍️

With warmer weather here, more motorcycles are out on the road across our community. We encourage all drivers to stay alert, check blind spots carefully, and give motorcycles extra space.

Motorcyclists are smaller and harder to see, especially at intersections and during lane changes. Taking an extra second to look twice could help prevent a serious crash.

Let’s all do our part to keep our roads safe this spring and summer. Share the road and stay aware! 🚗🤝🏍️
