Serving and supporting others is one of the most fulfilling journeys you can take, but it can also be one of the most exhausting. When you open your heart and resources to help people, it is deeply painful to encounter dishonesty, taking advantage, or hostility from those you tried hardest to lift up. If you have experienced this, please know you are not alone, and your effort was not in vain.

Here are a few meaningful truths to hold onto as you continue doing good:

* **Ingratitude is a reflection of their path, not your purpose.** How people respond to your kindness reveals their own character, inner struggles, and personal posture—it is never a measure of the value or sincerity of your help.
* **Setting boundaries is an act of stewardship.** Choosing to cut off toxic cycles or step away from those who manipulate your goodwill is not giving up on people; it is protecting your energy, spirit, and resources so you can direct them toward those who are truly ready to grow and transform.
* **Disappointment does not equal failure.** Every hard lesson refines your discernment. Learning who *not* to trust helps clear the way to better serve those who sincerely appreciate, respect, and benefit from your support.
* **Keep your foundation grounded.** When your mission is rooted in faith and purpose rather than human approval, no amount of deceit or negativity can take away the good work you are called to do. Each new day offers a fresh start to reach the lives meant for your care.

Stay steadfast, protect your peace, and keep believing in the good you are bringing into the world.

No matter how hard they try to tear you down, lie about you, say they will 'destroy you,' and scream and carry on; they are the ones who LOST out for not accepting what was offered. There is no way to help those people in the end.
I still care and still pray for everyone, but please focus your resources and energy on those who are willing to follow through and ready to fight for a better way of life.
Lying, stealing, fighting, begging, being depressed, needing mental help, and unwilling to accept when offered shows they are not ready!
Maybe ONE DAY..they will realize God was there, He offered a hand out, and they slapped it away.
God, keep and protect these souls and lead them where they will be safe.

**URGENT APPEAL: Help Keep Our Unsheltered Neighbors Safe** 🚨📱🧊👓

The extreme heat combined with dangerous living conditions is creating an urgent crisis for unsheltered individuals in our community. Following the recent heartbreaking loss of one of our homeless community members, we are making an immediate call to action to help provide life-saving supplies.

We are currently collecting these high-priority items:

**📱 Old, Unused Cell Phones (A Crucial Lifeline)**
Many of our unsheltered neighbors—including young, vulnerable women who face constant safety risks—have no way to call for help in an emergency.

* **How phones help:** Even without an active cell plan, **any charged mobile phone can dial 911** for emergency services and connect to Wi-Fi.
* **What to do:** Please wipe/reset your personal data from any unused phones in your drawers and donate them. A phone you no longer use could save a life.

**🧊 Coolers (Food Safety & Heat Relief)**

* Keeping food fresh and safe in this heat is a daily struggle. Coolers help preserve non-perishable meals and cold water, preventing foodborne illness and heat exhaustion.

**👓 Reading Glasses (Everyday Vision Needs)**

* Simple over-the-counter reading glasses (all strengths/magnifications) make a massive difference for clients trying to read documents, complete applications, or manage daily needs.

PLEASE SHARE and Support our TEAM WORKZ Mission to help others.

For over seven years, working directly with people experiencing homelessness, hardship, and crisis through TEAM WORKZ has taught me one important truth:
None of us are truly immune from tragedy.

Life can change overnight due to circumstances beyond our control:
🔹 A sudden illness or medical emergency

🔹 The death of a loved one

🔹 A catastrophic life event

🔹 Unexpected job loss

🔹 Mental health struggles

🔹 Family crisis

🔹 An economic downturn

When I speak to community groups, I often remind them that many of the people we serve once lived comfortable, successful lives. Some were wealthy, traveled the world, or even received national recognition for their work. Yet today, those same individuals are asking for a tent, a sleeping bag, and enough food to survive another week.

No one ever believes it can happen to them—until it does.

I know this personally because I have faced difficult times in my own life. Hardship takes a heavy toll mentally and emotionally—the fear, depression, and sadness are deeply real. But there is hope. Many of those we help do recover, rebuild, and rise again. Their stories are powerful and inspiring, showing that with the right support, transformation is possible.

The best way to help isn't just to offer temporary relief—it's to create a WAY OUT.
That requires:
